In 2003 my three siblings and my parents crossed the ditch from New Zealand to Australia, where we have lived on a dairy farm in Yarrawonga ever since. Moving to Australia has been one of the most influential and positive experiences of my life and I believe this is where I get my love of travel and sense of adventure from. I have travelled to 6 different countries in the last two years, the latest being to Japan at the beginning of the year.
I attended Christ the King Anglican College in Cobram, a K-12 school. Being a small school I loved the sense of community I got with going to school. I was able to form close relationships with my peers and teachers which made my schooling experience a memorable one, one that has influenced my love for teaching. I graduated year 12 in 2011 and gained Early Entry into Charles Sturt University to study a Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling).
I am a very creative person and enjoy thinking outside of the box. I enjoy creating and making things that people get a sense of enjoyment from. By creating things that people enjoy, you are able to create an atmosphere and environment that others cannot.
While at university I have had many opportunities to develop who I am as a teacher. Through the observation of other teachers, what I have learnt at university and what I have done on placement, I have been able to form my own teaching style. With each opportunity to observe others and then implement myself, I have been able to learn more and refine who I am as teacher... one that will never stop changing.
